Welcome to the Fall 2007 District 16 Conference
As my International Director adventure continues, it honors me to
visit with all of my friends ... and to get a chance to talk about
how much fun and learning can result from (you) helping and leading
other Toastmasters in your district. As you attend the events and
educational sessions that your leaders spent time putting together
for you, please don't hesitate to visit with them during quiet
moments ... and talk to them about the experience
of serving other
Toastmasters ... you might want to try it yourself.
I also hope you
will visit with me on that subject while I am here. I'm sure that I
will not need to tell you what a special District that you happen to
be practicing your Toastmaster skills in. I was born here at OU when
both of my parents lived in Norman. Thanks for
inviting me back to visit, and thanks for making this leadership
experience so much fun.
